Tim Castro spent more than two decades in the United States Marine Corps, leading a rapid recovery team through multiple overseas operations and earning a Navy Achievement Medal for logistics excellence in Iraq. Now he’s applying that same operational discipline to a different mission: helping business leaders align their organizations with biblical principles.
Through 12 Stones Strategy, Castro has carved out a distinct position in the business consulting world by explicitly integrating faith into strategic planning. His approach combines traditional business frameworks with scriptural foundations, offering faith-based consulting services to entrepreneurs, organizational leaders, and professionals navigating career transitions.
From Combat Leadership to Boardroom Strategy
Castro’s transition from military service to business consulting wasn’t immediate. After his Marine Corps tenure, he pursued an MBA, graduating as valedictorian from California State University San Bernardino in 2018, then completed doctoral studies in organizational development at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He also created and sold multiple startups, served on nonprofit boards, and earned credentials as a master life coach and Christian counselor through organizations including the CPD, NCCAP, CMA, IPHM, and ICAHP.
His work has attracted attention from major publications including Forbes, USA Today, and the LA Times. His book, “The 12 Stones Strategy: Biblical Principles for Strategic Leadership and Organizational Transformation,” recently earned him finalist status for the 2026 International Impact Book Awards’ Author of the Year. He’s also published “The 1 Step Program”, which is a faith-based guide emphasizing grace, process, and inviting readers into personal growth, one step at a time.

A Different Measure of Success
What distinguishes Castro’s leadership coaching and business consulting is his explicit rejection of profit and growth as the only metrics that matter. His firm emphasizes stewardship, integrity, and legacy alongside traditional business outcomes. For his target audience—business owners, emerging leaders, graduating students, and aspiring entrepreneurs—he offers proprietary faith-based personality assessments designed to help clients identify what he calls their “God-given calling.”
The approach addresses organizational culture, mission alignment, and individual career direction through a lens that keeps biblical principles central rather than peripheral. It’s consulting work aimed at clients who want their faith integrated into their professional strategy, not compartmentalized from it.
Looking Forward
Castro is actively pursuing speaking engagements and podcast appearances, aiming to build a full calendar of public speaking opportunities while expanding his client base. His ambitions include releasing five additional books and securing features on prominent business and faith-focused podcasts. For organizations and leaders interested in strategic consulting grounded in biblical principles, Castro offers a perspective shaped by military leadership, academic credentials, entrepreneurial experience, and an unwavering commitment to faith-centered business practices.
